OurSpace is a private writing workspace built for Filipino fiction writers, accessible at ourwriting.space. We take your privacy seriously because writing is personal work. This policy explains in plain terms what information we collect, why we collect it, how we store it, and what rights you have.
By creating an account and using OurSpace, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.
OurSpace is an independent platform owned and operated by OurSpace. We are based in the Philippines and our platform is built for Filipino fiction writers, though writers from other countries may use it.
This Privacy Policy applies to all users of OurSpace, including those on free plans and paid plans.

OurSpace uses cookies and similar browser storage technologies. We use the following types:
We do not use advertising cookies. We do not allow third-party advertisers to place cookies on OurSpace. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though some features may not work correctly if you do.
We do not send marketing emails unless you have explicitly opted in to receive them.
We analyze usage patterns to understand which features are useful and which are not. When we use your data for this purpose, we look at aggregated patterns across all users — not your individual writing or personal content.
Everything you write inside OurSpace is yours. We do not claim any ownership over your content — your chapters, your characters, your story outlines, your notes. None of it.
By using the platform, you grant OurSpace a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, process, and display your content to you — and only to you. This license exists solely to make the platform work.
We do not read your private writing. We do not use your story content to train AI models. We do not share your writing with anyone.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes. The only times we share your information are:

We may disclose your information if required to do so by law, court order, or government authority. We will attempt to notify you when this happens, unless prohibited by law.
If OurSpace is ever sold, merged, or acquired by another entity, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. If this happens, we will notify you by email and give you the opportunity to delete your account before the transfer takes effect.
Your data is stored on Supabase's infrastructure. We implement the following security measures:
No security system is completely infallible. If we become aware of a data breach that affects your personal information, we will notify you promptly and describe what happened and what data was involved.
We keep your data for as long as your account is active. Specifically:
If you close your account, we will delete your personal data and writing content within 30 days, except for billing records which we are legally required to retain.
You can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you at any time. Email us at ourwritingspaceofficial@gmail.com and we will respond within 30 days.
If any of your personal information is inaccurate, you can update most of it directly in your account settings. For anything you cannot update yourself, email us and we will correct it.
You can request that we delete your account and all associated data. Email ourwritingspaceofficial@gmail.com with the subject line "Account Deletion Request" and we will process it within 30 days. Some information — such as billing records — may be retained for legal reasons.
You have the right to request your writing content in a portable format. We will provide your data in a standard format (plain text or JSON) within 30 days of your request.
Where we rely on your consent to process your data, you can withdraw that consent at any time. Withdrawing consent will not affect the lawfulness of any processing that occurred before withdrawal.
OurSpace is intended for users who are at least 13 years old. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. By creating an account, you confirm that you are at least 13.
If we discover that an account belongs to someone under 13, we will delete the account and all associated data without notice. If you believe a user is under 13, please contact us at ourwritingspaceofficial@gmail.com.
Users between the ages of 13 and 17 are strictly prohibited from creating, drafting, or storing R-18 content on ourwriting.space. This includes sexually explicit material, graphic adult content, and any other content intended for audiences aged 18 and above — regardless of whether the content is fictional.
By using OurSpace, users under 18 confirm that they will not produce R-18 content on the platform. If we discover that a minor has created R-18 content on OurSpace, we will remove the content and may terminate the account immediately and without prior notice.
Users aged 18 and above may write mature content on ourwriting.space, provided it does not violate any other provision of our Terms of Service — including the absolute prohibition on sexual content involving minors.
OurSpace is based in the Philippines. If you access OurSpace from outside the Philippines, your information may be transferred to and processed in countries where our service providers operate (including the United States, where Vercel, Supabase, and Stripe maintain infrastructure). By using OurSpace, you consent to this transfer.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this document, notify you by email if the changes are material, and post a notice on the platform before the changes take effect.
Your continued use of OurSpace after the effective date of any changes means you accept the updated policy.
